This is your chance to join the Office of the Director of Administration (ODA) at UNON and collaborate with teams across the Division of Administrative Services (DAS).
Key Responsibilities
Interns will engage in various exciting projects to support UNON’s communications and graphic design efforts.
1. Design Support
- Develop visually stunning digital and print materials (e.g., brochures, infographics, presentations).
- Collaborate with UNON teams to enhance their visual communication strategies.
2. Simplify Complex Ideas
- Transform intricate concepts into accessible and engaging designs.
- Create impactful data visualizations and concept art for organizational initiatives.
3. Ensure Brand Consistency
- Uphold UN branding standards across all design outputs.
- Innovate ideas to strengthen the UN’s visual identity.
4. Project Management
- Handle multiple design projects while maintaining high standards of quality and timeliness.
5. Use of Industry Tools
- Proficiently operate software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Develop videography content and layouts for publications like reports and presentations.
6. Collaborative Growth
- Stay informed about the latest design tools and trends.
- Incorporate feedback for design improvements.
- Support the maintenance of UN platforms (iSeek, SharePoint) and assist in event organization.
Who Can Apply?
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria at the time of application:
- Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (Master’s or higher).
- Be in the final academic year of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Have recently completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD programme.
Preferred Fields of Study
- Visual Arts
- Communication Design
- Information Communication Technology
- Digital Media or other related disciplines
Required Skills
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite).
- Excellent computer literacy in standard office software (Microsoft Office).
- Knowledge of social media, public information, or campaigns is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Languages
- English proficiency (oral and written) is essential.
- Knowledge of other UN languages (e.g., French, Spanish) is an added advantage.
