The Cybersecurity Director Opportunity
As the Director of Cybersecurity, Modernization & Innovation, you will report to the Senior Director of Cybersecurity. In this role, you will not only drive the organization’s cybersecurity transformation but also implement cutting-edge security technologies. Furthermore, you will promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness while ensuring that robust security measures are integrated into all digital initiatives. Consequently, your leadership will enhance the organization’s overall security posture.
Ways the Cybersecurity Director Can Contribute
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business units by providing expert guidance on cybersecurity. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align cybersecurity efforts with business objectives.
- Lead the execution of cybersecurity modernization projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced security solutions while proactively identifying risks.
- Establish and refine enterprise-wide Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to measure the effectiveness of cybersecurity initiatives. Deliver executive-level reports on cybersecurity maturity, progress, and challenges to offer actionable insights for senior leadership and the board.
- Create comprehensive cybersecurity training programs for employees and external partners. Foster a culture of awareness through workshops, seminars, and communication campaigns.
- Advocate for the adoption of advanced security technologies and frameworks to stay ahead of emerging threats. Lead the evaluation and implementation of enterprise-scale AI governance strategies, collaborating with technology leaders to balance innovation with risk management.
- Work with teams across DDIT to ensure strong security in digital initiatives, including cloud migrations. Ensure that cybersecurity considerations are embedded at every stage of digital transformation projects.
- Collaborate with internal change management teams to facilitate smooth and sustainable implementation of cybersecurity initiatives. Focus on engaging employees to gain their support for new measures.
What the Cybersecurity Director must possess
You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Additionally, an advanced degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a similar discipline is preferred. You also hold professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CCSP, which are strongly preferred.
With extensive experience in information security risk management, you can effectively integrate risk management strategies within a partner-focused cybersecurity framework. Moreover, your in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance principles enables you to establish relevant standards and practices for external partners. Consequently, this integration fosters stronger collaborations and enhances overall security outcomes.
You excel in communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, allowing you to influence and collaborate effectively with all levels of the Foundation and external partners.
