Work Details

  • Work Location: Bangkok Office (with potential remote work options).
  • Expected Duration: 3 to 6 months.

Internship Overview

Under the supervision of the Communications & Advocacy Officer, the intern will support the Resident Coordinator’s Office (RCO) by producing visually compelling designs and multimedia content to promote UN initiatives in Thailand. This role is ideal for creative individuals with an interest in graphic design, visual storytelling, and digital communication.


Key Responsibilities

1. Visual Content Creation

  • Design and produce high-quality social media assets (graphics, infographics, or illustrations) in Thai and English.
  • Localize and adapt existing UN visual content for cultural and linguistic appropriateness.
  • Contribute to the design of campaigns, event materials, and branding assets aligned with UN guidelines.

2. Research and Design Innovation

  • Stay updated with graphic design trends, tools, and best practices in color theory, typography, and layout.
  • Experiment with motion graphics and animation (if applicable) to enhance visual engagement.

3. Support Multimedia Storytelling

  • Develop presentation templates, posters, banners, and promotional materials for UN-led events.
  • Collaborate on creative campaigns targeting younger audiences.

4. Administrative Collaboration

  • Assist in organizing visual asset libraries and providing logistical support for events.
  • Participate in team brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas.

Qualifications and Special Skills

  • Enrollment in or completion of a graduate or undergraduate program.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent design software.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and optimization tools.
  • Strong creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Language Requirements

  • Fluency: Thai and English (speaking, reading, writing, and listening).

Additional Information

This internship is UNPAID. Interns are responsible for travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses. Candidates must obtain appropriate visas and work authorizations if necessary.
