About the Masterclass on Land Restoration Communication

The masterclass brings together communicators from various fields, including journalists, podcasters, social media influencers, photographers, videographers, and environmental activists. In partnership with the G20 Global Land Initiative and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), this free course empowers participants to raise awareness about land degradation in their home countries.

Throughout the program, attendees learn effective strategies to prevent, reduce, and halt degradation. They also explore methods to restore and manage at-risk land. Additionally, the fully funded 5-day course in London covers flights, accommodation, and lunch, ensuring a rich learning experience.

Course Outcomes

Masterclass participants will devise communication strategies that tackle land restoration challenges in their own countries. Moreover, the most effective strategies will receive funding for implementation once the course concludes. In addition, all graduates will be awarded a certificate.

How to Apply for the Strategic Communication for Effective Land Restoration Masterclass

To participate, interested individuals must submit a concise communication piece centered on a land restoration project in their home countries. This can take the form of a long-form media story (like a documentary or feature), a blog, a vlog, a podcast, or a social media post on various platforms. More details can be found below.

LSE/GLI can provide letters of invitation. However, successful applicants must secure their own visa.
