Project Lead for the READY initiative at Y+ Global: Supporting Adolescents and Young People Affected by HIV.
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people living with HIV? The Global Network of Young People Living with HIV READY initiative Y+ Global actively seeks a dynamic and motivated READY Project Lead!
In this pivotal role, you will manage and drive the READY+ project—an essential initiative that enhances the resilience, empowerment, and knowledge of adolescents and young people living with or most affected by HIV (AYPLHIV).
Seize this opportunity to be part of a transformative movement! If you’re ready to inspire and lead, we want to hear from you! Join us in shaping a brighter future for AYPLHIV.
Overview
The initiative actively engages young people aged 10-24, particularly those most vulnerable to HIV, such as girls and young women, sex workers, LGBTQI+ individuals, migrants, and other key populations. In its second phase, READY+ has reached over 50,000 adolescents and young people affected by HIV.
To enhance this effort, the initiative employs a youth-centered approach that trains adolescents and young people impacted by HIV to serve as peer supporters and advocates. These Community Adolescent Treatment Supporters (CATS) play a vital role in driving progress at personal, community, health facility, and governmental levels.
Additionally, this position allows for remote work, with candidates also having the option to relocate to Cape Town, South Africa.
