Key Responsibilities | Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy Internship – Santiago, Chile

As an intern with the Division of Production, Productivity, and Management at ECLAC, your role will include:

  • Collaborating on studies related to science, technology, and innovation policies in Latin America and the Caribbean.
  • Conducting research and analysis on productive development policies.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks linked to the Conference on Science, Innovation, and ICT at ECLAC.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled in or have completed a graduate program (Master’s or Ph.D.).
  • Be in the final academic year of a Bachelor’s degree program or have recently completed one.

Additional Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge or interest in the economics of science, technology, and innovation.
  • Data manipulation and analysis skills are desirable.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required; knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish).

Internship Details

Please note that internships at the United Nations are unpaid, and interns are responsible for covering their own travel, visa, accommodation, and living expenses.
