Programs and Eligibility Criteria
1. TEF Flagship Entrepreneurship Programme
This is one of the programs offered by the Tony Elumelu Foundation. Below are the requirements:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- The program is open to all entrepreneurs across Africa.
- Accepting applications for both new business ideas and existing businesses.
- Encourages businesses that leverage artificial intelligence (AI).
- Promotes green businesses focused on sustainability.
- For existing businesses, registration must not exceed five years at the time of application.
2. IYBA-WE4A Entrepreneurship Programme
The IYBA-WE4A Entrepreneurship Programme is dedicated to women participating in the Tony Elumelu Foundation programs. To be eligible, one must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Exclusively for women entrepreneurs.
- Open to green business ideas.
- Accepting applications for existing green businesses.
- Available in Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, Cameroon, Kenya, Mozambique, Malawi, and Togo.
- For existing businesses, registration must not exceed five years at the time of application.
3. Aguka Ideation Programme
The Aguka Ideation Programme, part of the Tony Elumelu Foundation, focuses on the business idea stage and offers opportunities for startups that meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must be aged 18-30.
- Open to Rwandan entrepreneurs.
- Focused on businesses in the idea stage.
- Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Open to entrepreneurs with green businesses.
- Available in Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, and for waste management businesses specifically in Kenya.
- For existing businesses, registration must not exceed five years at the time of application.
